Hello, my name is Norbert. Thank you for being a friend to Little Me on Instagram!

I am a 3-lb registered therapy dog with a BIG heart.

I'm a 7" tall mixed breed dog (we think Chihuahua, Cairn Terrier & Lhasa Apso) and sometimes I get called Norbie or Norbs. I am 6 years old. I was the only dog in my litter so people say I am one-of-a-kind.

My Momma, Julie Freyermuth, and I are a registered therapy animal team with the Pet Partners® organization. I am also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and a certified R.E.A.D.® dog with the Intermountain Therapy Animals organization.

Since I am a therapy dog, I have volunteered at a local nursing home, a children's hospital in Boston, MA, at special events and I now make therapy visits by request. I also love to donate copies of my picture books as a way to spread smiles!

Norbert: What Can Little Me Do? is a multi-international award-winning children's Picture Book inspired by my life. We are now working on the much-anticipated second book in the series titled Norbert: What Can Little YOU Do? This book is available for pre-sale and will be published in early March 2015.

My book series shows children that you don’t have to be big to make a BIG difference in the world and that we all have unique gifts that can be used to serve the greater good.

I am proud to be the national mascot for the Children's Melanoma Prevention Foundation's SunAWARE Program. As the mascot, I hope to connect with children and teach them about sun safety in a way that is engaging and fun!
